Dovetail fabricated the architectural millwork for Sway Domain, a restaurant in Austin, Texas. Trinity Contractors was the general contractor and Michael Hsu was the architect.
Scope
Dovetail's millwork centers on the vertical wood slat wall at the entry, which stands beside the host stand and a bench.
The project
Past the entry, the dining room has a wood plank ceiling, communal wood tables, woven pendant lights and exposed beams, with an open kitchen beyond the tables.
Fabrication
Dovetail's drafting department works in Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, Revit and AutoCAD and builds to AWI standards. The in-house finishing department runs three spray booths.
