Dovetail fabricated the architectural millwork, metalwork and stone for Linden Residences, a corporate tenant improvement project in Austin, Texas, built by general contractor Bartlett Cocke General Contractors with architect Roadie Partners. Production shipped mainly in 2023 and 2024.
What did Dovetail build at Linden Residences?
The work ran as two jobs for the same building. The residential job covers kitchens on Levels 11 to 27, vanities on Levels 11 to 28, upgraded closets in selected units, and penthouse kitchens and vanities. Metal den enclosures went into several units.
The amenities job covers the Level 1 lobby desk, built in wood, stone and a metal tube structure, plus the coffee and parcel rooms and elevator lobby panels. It also includes standard closets, unit entry panels in the corridors from Level 11 up, a Level 9 maintenance office, and a Level 10 clubhouse with catering, conference and fitness rooms. A pool bar and outdoor grill are stainless steel.
Materials and finishes
Kitchens and vanities use two wood finishes: a light brown labeled WD-01 and a dark labeled WD-02. Plastic laminate in a color named Stylelite Alabaster appears on the kitchen work. Stone tops were fabricated for the lobby desk, clubhouse, fitness room and pool bar.
How was the work delivered?
A kitchen mock-up and finish samples came first, in 2022. Production then followed level by level, with kitchens, vanities and closets shipping mainly in 2023 and Levels 26 to 28 shipping in 2024. Penthouse upgrades arrived by change order in 2024. Dovetail's drafting department works in Microvellum and Cabinet Vision.
