Dovetail fabricated the architectural millwork for Kendra Scott, a corporate tenant improvement project in Austin, Texas, built by general contractor Balfour Beatty with architect Sixthriver.
What did Dovetail build at Kendra Scott?
Wood is the material Dovetail supplied. The gallery is heavy on kitchen and break areas: a pantry with gray cabinets and a blue tile backsplash, a break area with a high island under gold pendant lights, and a curved white island with blue stools. The pantry cabinets are the millwork shown. Other spaces include a reception with a gold-tone desk front against a mosaic wall and a conference room with a long table and a crystal chandelier.
Materials and finishes
Wood is the only material tagged. The pantry cabinets in the photographs are gray. Dovetail finishes in house, in a department with three spray booths.
How was the project delivered?
Balfour Beatty was the general contractor and Sixthriver the architect. Dovetail's drafting department works in Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, Revit and AutoCAD, and builds to AWI standards, before pieces go to the shop floor in Del Valle.
