Dovetail fabricated the architectural millwork and stone for Thompson Hotel, a hospitality project in Austin, Texas, built by general contractor Ryan Companies. The scope runs from the level 1 lobby and a second-level podium up through the guest floors.

## What did Dovetail build at Thompson Hotel?
The lobby has a large reception desk and a smaller second desk. Both have brass at the base, and brass also appears at the sides of one of them. Around them are specialty wall paneling, a wood ceiling and a blackened steel bench support at the fireplace. The lobby entry door was finished in metal and fitted with pulls.

On the second-level podium, Dovetail made wall paneling for the ballroom and meeting room exterior wall, millwork, restroom casework, vanity covers, meeting room counter tops, doors and steel portals. Elevator lobbies received routed panels and trim on levels 5 through 16. Guest floors 5 through 14 each have trim packages, and the stone thresholds and solid surface shower reveals were produced in two-floor groups across the same levels.

## Materials and finishes
The page lists the work as wood and stone. Other materials include brass at the reception desks, blackened steel at the lobby fireplace, solid surface shower reveals and MDF for the routed elevator panels.

## How was the work delivered?
Drafting for the two lobby desks wrapped in October 2021. The team also built a door mockup on Corafoam and cast resin mold components for the doors. Other work covered the level 15 and 16 elevator landing bases and the lobby fireplace bench support.
