Dovetail fabricated the architectural millwork and stone for Norton Rose Fulbright, a law firm tenant improvement project in Austin, Texas, built by general contractor NOVO Construction with architect Gensler. The work covers floors 9, 10 and 11 of the office, and production ran mostly through 2024.

## What did Dovetail build at Norton Rose Fulbright?
At reception, Dovetail made the desk and a fin wall of wood panels that carries the firm's lettering. The coffee bar on floor 11 has an island and two screen walls. The pantry, breakroom and copy rooms received casework and countertops. Meeting rooms, corridors, elevator lobbies on floors 10 and 11, restrooms and a mothers room also include Dovetail work.

## Materials and finishes
Stain-grade wood panels cover walls, window returns and some ceiling areas. Base and wall cabinets are plastic laminate. Countertops are stone in some areas and laminate in others, and a stone panel faces one desk. Rift Douglas fir hardwood appears in the coffee bar cabinet material, and the breakroom has tambour panels. Metal details include stainless steel and black steel trim, a stainless steel coffee bar countertop and aluminum bases at the coffee bar and reception desk.

## How was the job delivered?
The job was set up for Premium grade construction. Testing, mock-ups and samples came first, in spring 2024. Production then ran room by room, with most of it finishing between July and September 2024. The scope changed along the way through a drawing bulletin and numbered change orders, including revisions to the south coffee bar, added appliance panels and a printer pull-out at reception.
