Dovetail fabricated the architectural millwork and stone for Kuya Wellness, a hospitality project in Austin, Texas, built by general contractor NOVO Construction with architect Urban Foundry Architecture.

## What did Dovetail build at Kuya Wellness?
The lobby stair is the largest single piece. The stair work covers a monumental metal stair, wood wrapping for it, stringers, filler pieces, treads and a stair step at the showers. The reception area's stairs and planters are handled separately and include stone.

Around the stair, the job includes a tea counter with a metal structure, a stone top and a wood trim, plus millwork for levels 1 and 2, level 2 upper cabinets, floating shelves and a shoe cubby. Bathroom panels and skirts were bundled together for finishing.

## Materials and finishes
The page lists the project as wood and stone. Samples include mahogany, rift white oak and plain slice white oak, in tongue-and-groove, hardwood and veneer. A polished stone called Aberdeen Waterstone is listed in two thicknesses for counters and panels. Metal samples were made in white painted steel. Dovetail's drafting department works in Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, Revit and AutoCAD.

## How was the work delivered?
The work was released in small pieces, several of them flagged for fast turnaround, and samples were made in wood and metal. The metal embeds were laid out separately.
